General Music

In a general music class, students engage in activities like playing the piano, guitar, and learning musical notes. Students often create beats using the keyboard and their computer. They use a program called sound trap which features an endless library of sound effects that help students develop epic beats!
Integrated Business Applications or (IBA)

The Integrated Business class for 7th graders at Heritage Middle School is an engaging and practical course designed to introduce students to fundamental business concepts, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. This class provides hands-on learning experiences that help students develop essential skills in marketing, budgeting, communication, and teamwork
Family Consumer Science

In a bright and bustling classroom, a student sits focused at a sewing machine, their hands deftly guiding the fabric through the needle's path. a look of concentration, they carefully adjust the tension, ensuring every stitch is perfect. rhythmic hum of the machine fills the air as colorful threads intertwine, bringing their creative vision to life. This moment captures the essence of learning and the joy of crafting something unique with their own hands.
Art

The student sits immersed in their art, surrounded by vibrant colors and a variety of materials. Their focus is as they blend paints on a canvas, expressing emotions through each brushstroke. With a sketchbook in hand they frequently pause to capture fleeting ideas, showcasing their creativity and passion for self-expression. This engagement in art not only fuels their imagination but also serves as a vital outlet for their thoughts and feelings.

Science Olympiad
The Technology Club: TSA and Future City Club offerings range from the design and construction of transportation solutions to graphic designs and inventions. Students interested in design and engineering should come join.
The Science Olympiad tournaments are rigorous academic interscholastic competitions that consist of a series of individual and team events that students prepare for during the year. The competition involves many different formats. These challenging and motivational events are well balanced between the various disciplines of Engineering Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, Physics, Computers, and Technology.


Stock Market Game
The SIFMA Foundation’s Stock Market Game ™ (SMG) gives students the chance to invest a hypothetical $100,000 in an online portfolio. Students learn economic and financial concepts they’ll use for the rest of their lives as they work together in teams, practicing leadership, organization, negotiation, and cooperation skills. Progress in the competition is tracked electronically, and students will also keep a journal in order to enter an Essay Contest.

Heritage Middle School's Book Club will be meeting every 2 months. Books will be available digitally through the Livingston Public Library as well as at the HMS Media Center. Please fill out the form to join and then you will be added to the Schoology Group.

Lovers Of Literature
For 7th & 8th graders who enjoy reading. Students are invited to come to our first meeting and help us choose our book list for the year. We choose one book per month. We discuss our reads both during lunch and after school times! All Lovers of Literature are welcomed!!

Mathcounts
Mathcounts is a non-profit organization that has existed for more than 30 years and it provides engaging math programs to middle school students of all ability levels in order to build confidence and improve attitudes towards math and problem solving.

HMS Clubs
Garden Club
Welcome to the Garden Club! Our mission is to deepen our gardening knowledge and skills while working together to beautify the school's courtyard and surrounding areas. We'll be planting vibrant flower beds, creating lush vegetable gardens, and learning sustainable gardening practices. Throughout the year, we'll also make nature and plant-related craft projects to keep, give as gifts or sell.
Youth Environmental society
Youth Environmental Society (YES) is for students who care about the environment and want to make a difference. We strive to make Heritage Middle School a more environmentally-friendly place and inspire students to have a more eco-conscious lifestyle. YES members will teach leadership and responsibility about issues that matter to this generation. Together we will learn and then educate our school community. We implemented a school-wide recycling program. YES members help Heritage properly recycle paper!
Diversity Club
The HMS Diversity Club is a place for students and faculty to celebrate and learn about our differences and realize our similarities.

Future Business Leaders of America
The Future Business Leaders of America is a student-based business organization that provides opportunities for members to explore and experience leadership skills.



Yearbook Club
The Yearbook is a fantastic way to be part of producing a creative book that highlights all the major moments of your time at Heritage.
Quiz Bowl
Quizbowl is a game in which two teams compete head-to-head to answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more.
